Our Vision
35Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. 36When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. 37Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. 38Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”
The Good News of the Kingdom brings healing and hope to the harassed and helpless. What Jesus saw there, He sees in the communities of the Blue Ridge mountains where He is calling us to reflect Him—giving His help and hope to our world.
The Blue Ridge Vision…
It is a dream of a place that would be known as a place of help and healing. The fallen can find forgiveness, guidance and encouragement. The lonely can find friendship. Those with low self-esteem will find value and encouragement. The depressed will find hope.
It is a dream of sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with thousands of residents of Warren County.
It is a dream of welcoming 400 people into the fellowship of our church family—experiencing wholeness, intimacy with God and vibrant, loving relationships with one another.
It is a dream of people being strong Christ-followers, growing in their knowledge of God’s Word, worship and prayer. It is a vision of them reflecting Christ and His love in their homes, at work and in their communities.
It is a dream of people finding significance and value in themselves as we equip them to discover and utilize their spiritual giftedness to make Jesus famous.
It is a dream of relational evangelism being lived out through the membership, resulting in life transformation throughout Blue Ridge communities and starting churches in Strasburg, Berryville and Stephens City.
It is a dream of a fellowship of believers coming together and rising up as the body of Christ and reaching out to the poor, hungry, and homeless with sustenance, food, and shelter.
It is a dream of having ten acres of land with a multi-purpose facility containing a worship/sports area; classrooms; and counseling and prayer centers. All of this will be designed to minister to the total person-spiritually, emotionally, physically and socially-and set in a peaceful, inspiring landscape.
